Russ and Kelly Loub
Chef and Owner of Little Apple Brewing Company
For 45 years, Russ Loub has been a denizen of the kitchen. Born in New York, raised in Michigan and educated at Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute in Providence, Rhode Island, Russ has had a near lifelong fascination with cooking and the restaurant industry.
For the past 22 years, Russ and his wife, Kelly, have been owner-operators of the Little Apple Brewing Company in Manhattan, Kansas, featuring Certified Angus Beef steaks and handcrafted beers. During that time they have received much recognition for their interpretations of Midwestern cuisine and hospitality, including multiple State "Beef Backer" awards and a National "Best Independent Restaurant" award in 2011 from the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. Additionally, Russ has been a leader in the locally sourced food movement establishing relationships with local farmers and producers to showcase their products on his "white menu."
